PORTFOLIO

Over the last 2 years we've worked with several market leading agencies, helping them deliver state of the art websites and AR experiences for world renowned brands. Through our consultancy and support, they selected the most appropriate technologies, enabling us to develop stunning and performant websites.

Showcasing the new Ford Mustang, creating the world's first AR superstore for EE at Wembley Stadium, and presenting Team USA athletes in AR before the Tokyo Olympic games are some of the most exciting projects we've worked on so far.

We are invited to take a trip down memory lane and see the car immersed in the visual styles of the past decades. Video transitions showcase the beauty of the vehicle with crisp reflections. Further scrolling brings us to more informative sections featuring the engineering marvels of the vehicle with interactive surprises along the way.

After the initial video sections, the user is given more details about the car. Finally, a contact form prompts the user to start their own journey to owning a sophisticated piece of art, the Hemmels.

Red Bull Cliff Diving AR Experience

Red Bull Cliff Diving AR

This experience was featured in Paris by the Seine during the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series event. It introduced users to the world of cliff diving through a series of animated posters. As you scanned a poster, it would reveal a 3D animation with a voice over narrated by top cliff divers Gry Hunt and Rhiannan Iffland. The animations put the users in their shoes (metaphorically, as cliff diving is done barefoot) on top of the diving board. Users were taken through various stages of a dive and experienced it from a first person point of view. They were then given more information about cliff diving with various animated infographics showing the evolution of the sport, along with various pictures of divers.

This interactive site brings a whole new meaning to flying in style. It gives you a full luxury experience right from the comfort of your own home. Alongside Poppins agency, our developers brought the Vistajet website to life with cutting edge 3D technologies.

The site starts with scroll triggered cinematic WebGL animations of the Vistajet Global 7500 plane flying through the sky. After exploring the outside of the craft, the site takes you onboard the sumptuous private jet for a tour of the interior using 3D renders of the plane. This caters to users who like to know exactly what to expect from their flight. Our coders developed custom WebGL shaders to seamlessly transition from one high resolution photo to the next, for sections of the page that showcase the various destinations and onboard entertainment options.

This website presents the 2.0 version of the Manx dune buggy. It utilises a variety of techniques to keep the user engaged.

We start with pre-rendered HD videos of the buggy driving in the desert. User interaction triggers transitions between the videos, to give it an interactive feel.

Once we've entered the site, it scrolls horizontally, then vertically, then horizontally again. Images of the buggy along with certain headings use a parallax effect to create a sense of depth.

And a few extra interactive components spice things up: between certain sections, a buggy follows the user's mouse. We also have a configurator that allows the user to create variations of the buggy, and interactive text made of sand particles that are disturbed by the user's mouse.

EE Superstore AR Experience

EE 5G Superstore

EE wanted to showcase the strength of their 5G signal and its potential for use in tomorrow's shopping. The experience was set up outside of Wembley Stadium before two England friendly football matches. Fans would scan a QR code outside the store to launch the app. Inside, they scanned the images on the walls to access content in AR. A holographic video of Trent Alexander-Arnold introduced the store. The users then viewed garments within the AR space, where they could zoom and rotate the products. The garments were then available for purchase.

Outside the store was an AR photo opportunity with Trent Alexander-Arnold, letting fans snap pictures of themselves next to a hologram of him. He was unfortunately not playing in those matches due to injury, so this was a unique opportunity for fans to interact with his 3D avatar.. The experience was featured in several newspapers and blogs: Daily Mail and the Express.

For the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, we worked on an AR web-app for ComCast Xfinity. It was available via a QR code in 400 stores and bus stops across the USA, in English and Spanish.

We created 10 animations featuring Team USA athletes. The animations showed 2d cutouts of the athletes in action as they emerged from the Xfinity logo, then synced up to the background music. Each animation had its own Easter egg, such as animated water droplets splashing on screen, or triggering the animation by speaking into the user’s phone. Read Happy Finish's writeup here.

EY Our World Your Way

Another of our works developed for Happy Finish. EY wanted to create a website aimed at young graduates to promote career opportunities. It’s a content centric website featuring plenty of text, videos, brochures and PDFs. Users are also able to answer some surveys. We used 3D elements to spice it up without distracting from the content. The main menu is navigable in 3D space, and the individual pages each have subtle parallax elements. There is an Easter Egg for mobile users: the menu can also be navigated in an AR like fashion, by turning around.

For the launch of the Ford Mustang Mach 1, we were commissioned by Happy Finish to develop a mobile web app. This would let the user discover the new car in an interactive fashion. The interactive experience was an ambitious concept: as the car drives through a stylised environment, the user can switch between 4 different cameras, and can tilt their phone to move the cameras around the car.

At the end of the experience, the recorded camera data is sent to a server where a custom high resolution video is created in Unreal Engine. The user then receives their personalised video which can be shared on social media. Following the interactive experience, while they wait for their video to be rendered, users are directed to another page where they can discover the car in augmented reality by placing it in their environment.

We created two holding pages for Hot Dark Matter, an up and coming AR startup. They designed a minimal UI, and chose interactive 3D backgrounds from our Webremixer collection.

We gave them access to our proprietary CMS, which they used to tweak these backgrounds to their liking. This made the whole process very efficient, as they were free to experiment with different variations of the backgrounds and create their own versions, instead of having to rely on our developers to make changes. This freed our coders so that they could focus on optimising and testing the code.
